About the Department

১৯৮১ চনত প্ৰতিষ্ঠিত যোৰহাট কেন্দ্ৰীয় মহাবিদ্যালয়ৰ 'অসমীয়া বিভাগ' উচ্চ শিক্ষাৰ এটি উল্লেখযোগ্য বিভাগ । ১৯৮৪-১৯৮৫ বৰ্ষত এই বিভাগটোৱে ডিব্ৰুগড় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ অনুমোদন মৰ্মে সন্মান পাঠ্যক্ৰমৰ সূচনা কৰি উচ্চ শিক্ষাৰ প্ৰসাৰত অৰিহণা যোগাই আহিছে। ভৱেশ চন্দ্ৰ শইকীয়া আছিল অসমীয়া বিভাগৰ প্ৰতিষ্ঠানকালীন মুৰব্বী অধ্যাপক। পৰৱৰ্তী সময়ত ভাষা -সাহিত্য-সংস্কৃতিৰ লগত জড়িত বংশীধৰ শইকীয়া, জিতেন্দ্ৰ নাথ শইকীয়া, প্ৰবীণ কুমাৰ গগৈ, ড সুবাসনা মহন্ত চৌধুৰী, ড অঞ্জুমণি দেৱী, ড অপূৰ্ব বৰা আদি ব্যক্তিয়ে নিজৰ কৰ্মৰাজিৰে বিভাগলৈ অমূল্য অৱদান আগবঢ়াই থৈ গৈছে।

অসমীয়া বিভাগত উচ্চতৰ মাধ্যমিক প্ৰথম বৰ্ষৰ পাঠ্যক্ৰমৰ পৰা আৰম্ভ কৰি স্নাতক মহলাৰ পাঠ্যক্ৰম আৰু দূৰ শিক্ষাৰ অন্তৰ্গত স্নাতকোত্তৰ মহলাৰ পাঠ্যক্ৰম পঢ়াৰো সুবিধা আছে। উল্লেখযোগ্য বিভাগত সন্মান পাঠ্যক্ৰম আৰম্ভ কৰাৰ দিনৰে পৰা বৰ্তমানলৈকে অসংখ্য ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীয়ে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্ৰত কৃতিত্ব অৰ্জন কৰি বিভাগ তথা মহাবিদ্যালয়লৈ গৌৰৱ কঢ়িয়াই আনিবলৈ সক্ষম হৈছে।

Vision & Mission

অসমীয়া বিভাগৰ উদ্যোগত প্ৰতিবছৰে শৈক্ষিক কৰ্মশালা, আলোচনা চক্ৰ আদি অনুষ্ঠিত কৰাৰ লগতে মাতৃভাষা দিৱস, বিভিন্ন বিষয়ত বক্তৃতা অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত কৰি ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলক বিভিন্ন প্ৰাসংগিক বিষয়ৰ প্ৰতি আগ্ৰহ তথা বৌদ্ধিক জ্ঞান বৃদ্ধি কৰিবলৈ যত্ন কৰা হয় । প্ৰতি বছৰে বিভাগৰ তৰফৰ পৰা ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰীসকলৰ লিখনিৰে সমৃদ্ধ হাতে লিখা আলোচনী 'প্ৰেৰণা' আৰু 'অৰুণোদয়' নামেৰে এখনি প্ৰাচীৰ পত্ৰিকা প্ৰকাশ কৰা হয়। উল্লেখযোগ্য যে অৰুণোদয় প্ৰাচীৰ পত্ৰিকাখনে প্ৰতিবছৰে মহাবিদ্যালয় সপ্তাহত স্থান পাবলৈ সক্ষম হৈ আহিছে। তদুপৰি অসমীয়া বিভাগৰ উদ্যোগত প্ৰতিবছৰে ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলক বিভিন্ন ঐতিহাসিক ক্ষেত্ৰ, বুৰঞ্জী প্ৰসিদ্ধ স্থান, সংগ্ৰহালয় আদিলৈ শিক্ষামূলক ভ্ৰমণৰ বাবেও লৈ যোৱা হয়।
