Biography
She was born in 1970 at Jorhat in Assam. She graduated from Kakojan College, Jorhat, Assam with Major in Economics. She obtained M.A. Degree (Sociology) from Dibrugarh University in 1995 and she was awarded M.Phil Degree from Vinayaka Missions University in 2009. She also obtained M.A. Degree from IASE Deemed University in 2010. She has published a textbook of Sociology for Degree Students (co-author) and has published a number of research articles in various Journals and Books. She presented a good number of papers in National and International Seminars and participated in Workshops and Symposium. She has specialization in Sociology of Economic Development. Her areas of interests are Rural Society in North-East India and Women Studies.
